Monkleys Furniture was established two decades ago and is run by Julian and Jo Monkley from their workshop at their rural home in Felton in Herefordshire.

They have gained an enviable reputation for design and making handcrafted furniture and antique furniture restoration.

Julian has been involved in the world of furniture for over 30 years. He initially trained as a cabinet maker with Gordon Russell Ltd before moving back to Herefordshire to pursue his interest in furniture restoration where he gained valuable experience working with a local antique furniture company. He then graduated to working as a furniture conservator for Hereford City Museum; a job that enabled him to work on some of our finest pieces of furniture in Herefordshire.

He is now based at his Felton workshop where he and Jo have established their own furniture business which has recently been expanded to include their new shop in the market town of Ledbury.

With Julian’s wealth of experience and Jo’s eye for detail the Monkleys are dedicated to the highest quality in design and craftsmanship.
